At Hartley Brook Academy, the use of the Pupil Premium funding will be targeted strategically to continue to narrow the gap between pupils from disadvantaged backgrounds and those from more affluent backgrounds. Pupils eligible for Pupil Premium funding are those who are known to be eligible for Free School Meals in the last six years, children who have been in the care of the Local Authority for 6 months or more and children of service personnel.
The government outlines pupils in the following categories to be eligibile for pupil premium:
- ‘Ever 6 FSM’
- Looked after children
- Service children
It is the responsibility of the Head Teacher and School Leaders to determine where to allocate the funding.
