Reading and Phonics
At Hartley Brook Academy we know that developing good reading skills is absolutely vital to help children do their absolute best and be happy and successful learners.
We use Read Write Inc. as our phonics/reading scheme which is a proven synthetic phonics program that ensures early success in reading, writing and spelling. Each Read Write Inc. program meets the higher expectations of the National Curriculum and uses effective assessment to accelerate every child’s progress and prepare them for the National Curriculum Tests.
